Dr. Denton D. Weiss was born and raised in the heartland. After attending the University of Iowa, he was accepted a year early to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a Naval medical officer, his internship in surgery and residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery took him to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He completed his Plastic and Reconstructive residency at Brigham Woman’s Hospital / Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
Dr. Weiss has been a plastic surgeon in Hampton Roads since 1998. His dream has always been to create an environment where patients come and find peace. The dream was realized in 2006 after years of learning from the best. In 2008 he opened the Virginia Beach Surgery Center where he brings his philosophy of beautiful living into his medical practice. He is a strong believer in health and nutrition and integrates that into his care.
Dr. Weiss married his childhood sweetheart, Michelle, and they have been married over 30 years. They work together at the practice promoting beautiful living to their patients. They have two married daughters and one granddaughter. Dr. Weiss loves the arts and he personally enjoys painting and sculpting. His philanthropy rests in Bella Vitae, the 501(c)3 organization he and Michelle founded in 2006. The organization promotes, defends and serves the human person in ways that enable them to live more beautiful lives.
Personal note:
“I am aware from where my artistic gifts flow. I thank God daily for enabling me to be a part of our patients lives. In our office we will make every effort to be fair, kind, and caring. I will personally strive with all my heart to give you beauty and friendship when you enter our doors. Thank you for the honor of serving you.”
